Kennin-Ji Temple, Gion
Located right in the middle of the historic Gion district, this is the oldest Zen temple in Kyoto. I often pass through its grounds as a shortcut from one part of Gion to another, but whenever I have some time I do go in and enjoy some exquisite Japanese art and Zen gardens.
