Full bloom capture at the Kyoto Gyoen Garden

Spring is here, the weather is getting warmer and more pleasant every day.  But this year, the cherry blossom season was quite late — at least one week!   It’s finally starting, and the trees are blossoming around the city.  We went for a tour this morning and instead of just taking a photo of some of these flowers, I tried to capture these in a different way.

Because of the incredible number of people using their phone to take a photo, I thought to use one of these screens for my own capture.  The reflection was a serious problem, but with a CPL filter, I was able to eliminate most of it. After this, a simple rebalancing of the luminosity and tone and voilà !
