Yes, it does rain a lot in Kyoto. But the city is prepared for this and the people are used to it. I have always found excessive the way the Japanese people react to the rain. It’s only water!
I actually somehow like rainy days around Kyoto. There are a lot of things happening, and the scenes are often more interesting and dramatic. All we need is a good raincoat and maybe an umbrella. The atmosphere around the streets, the ambiance, the lights, the saturated colors, everything calls for photography.
