Still away from Kyoto, I wanted to present a series of photos I like. All were captured during a greeting or salution by a maiko or a geiko. This is the way we meet a maiko, and the way they start and finish a dance. t is the way they introduce themselves, and the way they enter a room. A beautiful tradition.
