Spring arrives in earnest in April. The first 10 days of the month are the busiest time for sightseeing and the city is packed. The cherries usually reach their peak during the first week of April, but there are so many and so many different varieties, one can usually see cherry flowers up to the end of the month. Weather tends to be warm, but be prepared for the odd cold day and cold evenings.
Too many must-see places to mention. Just walk around, be curious, discover the best Kyoto has to offer, enjoy the simple beauty of nature.
